Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Key Quest app and playkeyquest.app (together, the “Services”). By downloading or using Key Quest, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Who we are

Key Quest is published by PD Creativity (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@playkeyquest.app.

2. Using Key Quest

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Key Quest on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial learning and enjoyment, in line with these Terms and Apple's Usage Rules.

3. Subscriptions

  • Getting started: The opening quest, including your first song, is free to play with no account or payment. Continuing beyond it requires a subscription.
  • Key Quest subscription: Key Quest requires an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or annually. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Free trial: Where offered, the annual plan includes a free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and payment is charged to your Apple Account.
  • Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.
  • Refunds: Payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.

4. Content

The app, including its software, design, graphics, arrangements, backing tracks, notation and text, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Many songs are traditional or in the public domain. Our recordings, arrangements and presentation of them are still our own. Please don't copy, redistribute or resell app content.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the Services. For example, don't:

  • Break the law or infringe anyone's rights
  • Reverse engineer or tamper with the app, except where the law allows it
  • Get around subscriptions, access controls or security
  • Use friend codes, display names or other social features to harass anyone or share offensive content

6. Your practice and results

Key Quest is a learning tool. Scores and feedback are automated and may not always be perfect. Results depend on your device, microphone, surroundings and practice. We don't guarantee any particular musical outcome.

7. Changes and availability

We regularly add songs and features, and we may change or retire features over time. We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Key Quest after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Ending use

You can stop using Key Quest anytime by deleting the app and canceling any subscription. We may suspend access if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for Key Quest in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

11. Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims. You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where it gives you additional protections.
